Returns & Refunds

Need help with an order? Contact info@deecatering.co.za or 063 160 0056. Include your order or quote reference, the product, what went wrong and the remedy you would prefer. Photos can help us assess damage or an incorrect item, but do not replace your statutory rights.
How to arrange a return
- Tell us about the return or cancellation so we can confirm the appropriate process and address.
- Keep proof of purchase and, where practical, the packaging and included accessories. Pack equipment securely for transport.
- We will explain the assessment, collection or return arrangements and the remedy that applies. Contact us before sending heavy equipment to a supplier or manufacturer.
Damaged, incorrect or defective goods
Let us know promptly if delivery is damaged, incomplete or incorrect. A request for prompt notification does not shorten your legal rights. Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, goods that fail its quality standards may be returned within six months of delivery, without penalty and at the supplier’s risk and expense, for repair, replacement or refund at the consumer’s direction, subject to the Act. Manufacturer warranties are additional to applicable statutory rights.
Eligible online cancellations
Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, an eligible online purchase of goods can be cancelled without reason or penalty within seven days after receipt. The direct return cost may be payable by the consumer, and payment must be refunded within 30 days of cancellation. Statutory exceptions apply, including certain made-to-specification or clearly personalised goods. These exceptions do not remove applicable rights concerning defective or incorrectly supplied goods.
Other requests and special orders
If a request falls outside a statutory right, contact us to discuss whether an exchange or return can be arranged. Any additional commercial arrangement must be agreed in writing. There is no blanket exclusion of sale items from statutory remedies. Custom orders and special specifications should be discussed before purchase; ask us to explain the applicable cancellation terms.
Refunds and return costs
We will confirm the applicable refund amount, method and processing arrangements with you. Statutory deadlines take priority over any assessment or administrative process. The party responsible for return costs depends on the reason for the return and applicable law. We will explain this before arranging transport; defective-goods rights are not subject to an automatic customer-paid delivery fee.
Your rights remain protected
This policy does not limit non-excludable rights. For the legislation, see the Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. If we cannot resolve a concern, you may use an appropriate consumer dispute-resolution body or authority.
